About Sensations
SENSATIONS recounts the sexual exploits of two female friends who hop from bed to bed in Amsterdam's artistic circles. These two bubbly ladies visit an exhibition about erotic art (what else, right?) before they head off to a wild party where sex-freaks from all over engage in orgiastic behaviour. Some of the highlights: an elderly art collector pleasures her own anus with a magic stick; someone licks cocaine off a young art student's clit; wild rutting in the washroom; lezzie sex; light S&M with various sex partners. And when this depraved artists' orgy is finally over, the participants vanish into thin air ... literally.
A porn classic from 1975 that was quite controversial upon release (even for liberal-minded Amsterdam!) due to its rather extreme depiction of sex acts.

SENSATIONS is a sensational porn classic from 1975. It looks like Lasse Braun's film crew was consuming all sorts of legal and illegal substances (mostly hash, I guess) during the making of this movie, because no other filmmaker before him managed to capture such depraved acts on film. Despite all the depravity, though, SENSATIONS manages to include some surprisingly smart dialogue as well. Probably one of the reasons why this movie was even shown at the Cannes film festival. Of particular note is the hippy music that plays an integral part in the creation of a totally freaked out atmosphere. This eccentric European classic easily ranks among the best of the seventies porn flicks - including American fare like BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR and THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES.
