About Tombois 3
Dana Vespoli's TOMBOIS 3 features four stories about lesbian couples (one starring the director in a brief non-sex role). In each segment, one partner takes on a decidedly masculine role in the relationship. The first chapter revolves around a lesbian couple that is about to break up: Aaliyah Love meets butch Nikki Heart one last time. In the second scene, Natalia Starr and her fitness instructor Sinn Sage get intimate with each other - which comes as a surprise since Natalia never thought of herself as a lesbian. Next up are Valentina Nappi and androgynous Lily LaBeau. And, finally, Gabriella Paltrova meets Ash Hollywood for some uninhibited girl/girl sex.

A 'butch' is a masculine lesbian and also the main focus of this movie - at least if you believe the stylish black&white cover. Unfortunately, neither assumptions are entirely true. Just because a woman has short hair doesn't mean she's automatically a butch lesbian. As for the black&white, only the beginning of the movie and the last part of the third scene are monochromatic, the rest of the flick is in colour. This is not necessarily a deal-breaker for me, but it's not exactly what the cover promised either. The performances are okay on the whole, but they rarely deliver more than average girl/girl action. If you ask me, much ado about nothing, really.
